“He’s still just trying to be like you” sums up the entire film along with the great plot and characters. One of the GOAT films

Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself....
  • @94Erdo94

The whole main cast was good, but Jesse Borregos, Cruz, just shined in this movie. All of his scenes are so emotionally powerful. From his mannerisms to his words, whether yelling or stone silent, he really captures the essence of an artistic personality that had a tortured soul through his own reckless behavior with drugs. But in the end he comes full circle to realize the power of forgiveness and family and that even through their crazy lives the bond of family is what keeps them going. Borregos just knocked it out of the park in this movie. Wow!
  • The storytelling in this movie is so incredible! When Paco says “So what are you saying? It’s my fault the way everything turned out?!” And Cruz just responds with a look. No words, just stares at him and the whole audience has the same revelation at the same time Paco does. All the events of the film from the past 3 hours just come together back in one scene and all with a stare. This is brilliant filmmaking and should be studied

Jesse Borrego didn't get enough credit for this performance. It was full of emotion and he absolutely killed it. Such an underated actor.

Every time I feel bad about life I watch this scene. It’s therapy for me. I’m so happy this scene exists.

I'm not Mexican or Black or a gangster, but I don't have to be to know this was a great movie.
  • @oSupaDupaFlyo
Paco was right. It was his fault, how everything turned out. It just shows you, how one event can affect other people's lives.
  • @tjjett98
This scene means a lot to me. Brotherhood is everything, this scene is inspiration cruzito talks facts. No matter how much hate between paco and miklo there's a bond between them. Damn great scene 👏🏽

I don't think people understand how deep and how perfectly written this part was the whole movie is a masterpiece and one of the most underappreciated pieces of film arts ever! I understand why because it's a very small minority of people that can relate to it but when it comes to writing, art, poetry, raw acting etc. it is one of the greatest!
