Daliborovo Granje - Hainin (Full Album 2020)

Daliborovo Granje are a 4 man psychedelic/experimental/post rock band from the Međimurje county in Croatia formed in 2014. The name of the band is a Croatian term meaning Dalibor's Branches – Dalibor being a common Croatian name, and branches as in tree branches. The band strictly plays instrumental music, which is heavily influenced by various world music melodies (oriental, balkan…) combined into the standard post-rock / psychedelic rock genre, with the addition of various other genres like surf rock or stoner rock, although they don't like to be put in boxes/categories and just want to play the music they feel like playing at the moment. Jams are also a very big part of their musical everyday life, many of which have been uploaded to Youtube, and a lot of their songs come from jams which are later modified and exactly rehearsed. The band's philosophy and aspiration has always been towards independence – in playing, recording, mixing, mastering and creating cover artwork. In 2015 they released a self titled debut studio album (Daliborovo Granje 2015) which they recorded and mixed by themselves in a mystic garage in the suburbs of their hometown Čakovec. The album features, besides the standard lineup (Alan – guitar, Fićo – guitar, Dado – Bass, Draš – drums), a flute in a couple of songs. The second studio album released in November 2020. titled Hainin (a serbian word meaning traitor or renegade) was also recorded by the band in 2019, although they were forced to abbandon their mystic garage and move to a new location - a magic barrack. This time, the flute was replaced by a trumpet (played by Tomica) and the mix and master was left in the good hands of Leonard Klaić, who greatly upgraded the sound from their first album.

One day I was tripping on way too much acid, and I could tell it was starting to go bad. So I was on youtube, frantically trying to find anything to distract me, but I couldn't even read, I couldn't even make out half of the thumbnails I was looking at. And then I saw a picture of a man. I can only describe the way he looked as "Trippy Jesus", and so with no idea of what the video was, or how long it would be I clicked on it. I clicked on this video. Trippy Jesus is damn fucking right. This album (and more than 600 mics of acid) sent me through incalculable planets or dimensions, on adventures that I can not remember, but were so jaw-droppingly stunning and beautiful, that I do remember thinking I had died and gone to heaven. Fantastic album, only wish I could hear it for the first time again.

I love former yugo music. A blend of that incredible balkans folk with rock jazz psychedelic. Reminds me of early Bijelo Dugme, Leb i Sol and so many more. Cheers from Albania

This album today helped me to go away from an existential crisis, this sound is energy, somehow a calm rage, the answer to an ancient enigma spelled in musical notes and rhytm

The algorithm is evolving, usually takes at least an upload of a year to get me to these places but here we are within a few weeks.

One of the greatest Album i ever heard!!!

This is a gem. I can hear Western gunfights (15::50), elephants marching over the Himalayas, cobras allured from their pots by seductive musicians, Indiana Jones running through a marketplace, and prayers at a Buddhist Temple -- and that's only during the first listen.

Another accidental find, or was it destiny! I'm a kiwi living in Australia and have been to your sweet country Croatia, Nova Gradiska to be exact. What a great album guys.Great after a wee smoke.

I would call it ethereal rock, it makes you float, feel good, feel spiritual. I like it a lot.
