COVID-19 epidemic curves, all areas in the UK, 06/05/2022 data download (absolute y-axis norm.)

Published 2022-05-06
This is a video of all the epidemic curves, cases by specimen date, for every area in the UK that Public Health England / UK Health Security Agency provides data for via its API, with the data downloaded on 6th May 2022. This version graphs the areas using Python matplotlib.
This particular version normalizes the y-axis to a common scale in terms of cases per 100k population.

The vertical dotted red line shows the date 5 days prior to the date of date download, and data more recent than this is considered incomplete, and is shaded with transparency. This 5 days prior corresponds to the 7 day rates quoted by UKHSA at their map coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map/ca… which use the 7 day period ending 5 days ago.

The UK, nations, regions of England, upper-tier local authorities and lower-tier local authorities are all included in alphabetical order.
