  • It’s nice to be able to back that mower into the tree line and keep the tractor/operator from getting scratched …… I’m always getting beat up on the riding mowers because I try to cut too close to the trees. Looks like a sweet set-up! Have a good weekend! πŸ‘‹
  • I would have a blast brush hogging πŸ˜‰πŸ™‚, the field looked pretty wet πŸ˜•. Good job Christy on the drone shots πŸ‘πŸ», have a great weekend πŸ™‚πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘πŸ»

That cutter does a good job! I like brush hogging when it’s wet. One day I hope to get a drone. Perfect tractor for the job! Take care!

  • Love the pond! I hope the rain lets up for you all soon! Youre more than welcome to send some our way lol Drone shoots look great! We have been thinking about getting one. Thanks for sharing!
  • My mower is a Southeast brand. It is definitely not a top of the line mower, but it is amazing how well it has held up. It is one that my Dad bought. I would have gone with a Woods without question. If and when this one goes, I will be going with a Woods, but by then, the major abuse to the mower will be behind me, pardon the pun. Looking good Richie. Gotta love the L2501's, don't ya?
  • Nice work, Richie. Can definitely tell from this video and the truck video that it is WET around there. You can have the drone auto-follow you. that is how I do it. I do not have a lovely camera/drone flyer to help me. My wife is busy finishing up her bachelor's degree. hahahahah
  • I have a brush hog squealer that I use behind my Kubota M 6800. I have beat the day lights out of it mowing trails on a farm restoration job I'm doing. The man that owns the farm has a brush bull, 48" much better piece of equipment than the brush hog. Keep your fingers crossed that rain will stop eventually :-). Great video Richie. Paul
  • You have a really nice property . My wife is always on edge when I back the tractor too the pond like that with flail mower .I have too get even closer than you did πŸ˜‚ . I have strict orders too make sure all the trails are mowed for her and the hounds too walk everyday . Been thinking on moving up too a hydraulic manipulating flail mower for banks and under trees etc . πŸ‘

Just bought a JBar 5’ premium 7ga deck, 75hp gearbox, slip clutch & flex hitch - under $1500. Awesome behind the L2501HST. Even got it in orange!

I looked at the 2501 just because of the price point, but really needed a lot more weight. They really are little tanks, though. Perfect for a lot of jobs.

I own a Bush Hog BH15, but I do like the Woods BrushBull because it has a good clean cut and it cuts low. I would buy one.

I got to get out and do some brush hoggin. My land it getting tall haha. I really like that woods brushbull. Looks well made. I got to get a heavier rotary cutter. Mine is a light duty one. I really like the woods brand. I got a Landpride and found it on marketplace. It was almost brand new, slip clutch and was only 700 bucks. Like I said, it look brand new! It doesn't look like it now though haha. I only had it a little over a year. My property is rough though.

Late comment but looking into a gear model of the same model. Gotta say that 25hp cranks up really quick and has a totally different sound then the rest. Handles that brush hog well.
  • @MJADoingStuff
Wow it looks like the Brushbull is faster at the heavy stuff now I want one Ha! Ha! Ha!. Great drone footage too. I want a drone too. Man Youtube is expensive... Hopeful I can make some money on Youtube to pay for some of this stuff Ha! Ha! Ha! : )

Do you have the brush hog level? I’ve heard to run it level, I have also heard to have some pitch front to back. Any thoughts?
  • @sth9460
Looks like both machines are doing a good job. How much does your cutter weigh? Does the 2501 handle OK with the FEL removed? Thanks
