Minecraft Hardcore with 2 imposters trying to kill us

Published 2020-10-04
I love you all, I really do. Actually, that's false. I love MOST of you. Thank you for taking your time to read the description.

The point of this video is to follow different perspectives and try and determine yourself who you think the imposters are; we had three people recording, myself (Xavier/Planet), ItsColor, and my brother MrHarshBuckler (AKA Eli). We may have more in the future, we may not. Not sure.

Common Q&A:

"How long did it take to make?"
about 25 hours of editing total. I stayed up all one night editing it.

"How do we participate in an event like this?"
You have to add me on Discord or join my discord server (second preferred) and the reason is because the person who randomly messages you if you're imposter or not is on discord, and discord only allows direct messages to people who share a server with you.
Once you have joined at the link here discord.gg/7BGU7wc you need to direct message me @ PlanetXtreme#1093 and I'll tell you more information about it.

"When will you be doing this again?"
Hopefully biweekly, I want to make videos on this idea until it dies. Also, the idea was almost completely constructed by my brother, who gave me ideas for the thumbnail and gamemode. I then discussed it with him and ItsColor further and we developed some rules for the event. Some were made up on the spot, and some were definitely broken, I'm sorry about that, the more we do this the better this will be. I'm also sorry about the terrible mic quality I had during it; it's quite ironic that I had the most expensive mic out of the 3 recordings, yet mine sounded the worst. I was not prepared.

"What difficulty was it?"
It was actually on Easy difficulty (in hardcore).. This was an accident. I only realized after the poison did in fact not actually poison me. If it was on hard difficulty, I can definitely imagine a lot more players dying. Hopefully next time we get higher octane players (that doesn't even make any sense) to play with us next time.

"Why are the hearts not hardcore hearts?"
The server that I was using had no option for hardcore.. I think it might be impossible to host a Minecraft server in hardcore difficulty, so what I did instead is use a plugin that kicks you to spectator mode when you die. Sorry if that visual "bug" was annoying.

This was a new way of editing for me, I don't typically edit huge videos, and well, since the video was so huge, of course, a huge amount of time went into it. I first started by editing each individual perspective into "interesting" clips, and did that once for each perspective. I originally had about 5 hours of recordings and cut it down to 35 minutes on the first go. From there, I edited them down even further, rewatching each multiple times until I thought the clips presented were interesting enough to be viewed by an audience. From there, I combined the perspectives in what I thought were interesting ways and we got to where we are now. I further cut down the video, added some music, synced some clips to music, and was ready and set to go.

None of us are actually speedrunners. I attempted to speedrun Minecraft like 2-3 years ago but quickly gave up as my progress got nowhere. I'm going to blame my brother for wanting me to put that in the thumbnail.

Any constructive criticism is appreciated. Honestly, I'd prefer that you berate my editing than compliment me. Criticisms are more appreciated than compliments. I'm 100% serious about this.

If you took the time to watch the whole thing, Thank you. It means so much to me.

If you want the song names, DM me on discord or comment on the video. They are all copyright free.

Oh yeah one final final note, sorry this description is all over the place, and...
I have never played among us lol
