Published 2022-02-06
Here is my procedure on how to completely eliminate regulator creep on the FX AMP regulator.
I have fixed and resolved many AMP regulator issues including the commonly know reg creep.

Watch and learn how I do it to achieve best possible results.

Brilliant work, great tutorial 👏. I love the idea of how to up the reg pressure by taking a dry shot and quickly give a small turn so they’re not touching yet 😉👍👏
  • @Marcus_Shaw
Very informative and clear. Many thanks 🙏👍
  • great vid Steve. A little effort always pays a massive reward. I get reg creep if I fill too quick. She will get the SB treatment next time shes in bits. 🤣

Perfect video mate thanks a lot 🤜🏻🤛🏻

lol good idea of dry firing and then increasing the reg pressure . i do the exact same procedure but my reason was that there is less pressure in the plenum hence leading to less strain on the surfaces.(same idea though)

Outstanding video, nice detail, quality at its Best! Great advice as well on it’s just not a good idea to adjust any airgun under such high pressure and brilliant on the quick adjust immediately after firing! Thanks buddy!

Brilliant Video, it's answered a lot of questions about Reg creep on my sub 12 Maverick, i have wondered about fitting the adjuster screw with new O'Rings fitted going through the threads of the Reg body causing damage to the O'Rings, i have 11 washers in my Maverick Reg, 6x 0.5 4x 0.4 and 1x 0.5 is there any particular order in size they should go on the shaft.

I just rebuilt my old Crown reg. Those small 2X1 mm O-rings are difficult to work with; it definitely requires patience.

Good afternoon, I clean the same as yours, but this is for what fine brass sandpaper to sand, do you want flat or slightly conical?

Great vid, I see some vids they grease up them belvil washers, Surly polishing is better than covering them with silicone grease.
  • Hi ,like how you adjust the reg screw (firing a shot off) so No damage to the reg /piston ,this must work for Decreasing reg pressure (turning screw clockwise) ? Be good to know your thoughts on that !
