Nice planter but I'd have to engineer a rope and pulley system to raise and lower the row markers. Nice to have the help though in the meantime and hope you all have a blessed rest of the week.

Our JD 71 row unit we use has a press wheel similar to yours. Ours has little tread bars on the wheel that make a tread pattern over the row when it seals the ground. I love seeing the pattern after we plant with it in the garden.

Good ole JD Planter, I see it is equipped with the modern row marker actuator too!

Your knowledge of equipment is really helpful. I don’t have a planter like this, but I do like seeing how they work so that I am more familiar with other planters and all. Do you still have your pigs?
