I Remove A Hornet Nest On A 2nd Story Peak From The Ground

Published 2024-08-05
I remove this Bald Faced Hornet nest from the second story peak of this new construction house. I guessed it was nearly 30 feet high, which is nearly out of the reach of our equipment. I try to avoid using ladders when possible, as we have the proper tools, with extensions, to complete nearly all of the jobs we face. When nests are this high off of the ground they present many problems with proper treatment and safety.

We are a small family owned pest control company in Northern Indiana that is growing and I want to document the journey. We deal with all pest insects and mice and rats in residential and commercial facilities.

STAYING OFF LADDERS IS GOOD THINKING LESS INJURY

Not sure what dust you are using, but I've used SEVIN powder for garden pests blown through a pipe into the nest or open spot on the house where they are getting in. Kills everything.

I don't understand what kind of dust you are using and what effect it has on the hornets.

What this service cost in your area? Just recently did a yellow jacket nest in a garage in central Ohio
