Parts List:
1x 10ft 3/4" PVC
8x 45 Degree 3/4" PVC Elbows
1x 3/4" PVC T-Joint
8x Keyless Lamp Holders
1x 600 Watt Dimmer
1x Handy Box
8x 60 Watt Bulbs (or Brighter CFLs at lower wattage. Just don't go over 600 Watts total)
1x Bag of 6-32 Round Steel Bolts
1x Bag 6-32 Wing Nuts
2x 15ft Extension Cords

The stand in the picture at the beginning is from shop lights and isn't included in the final price. To mount the ring light to the stand I just used a 4" x 7/8" Corner Iron that screws into the top.

    Cool, you should make a ring for the front with some white fabric to make it softer. It would leave a circular eye light on your subject. That would make it more versatile for filmmaking.

    I actually do but not always as a ring light. Because the lights are so spread apart it works almost like a softbox giving even lighting without really harsh shadows. So often it can be used as a keylight or fill. But I have shot quite a bit of still photography studio style portraits with it.
