My bearded dragon was glass surfing and pooping everywhere, I thought I fed him something. Turns out I moved one of his decorations and he got mad at me so he was running around pooping everywhere. I moved it back and now he is happy. So sassy 😭
  • My beardie lived to 12. He lived in a 40 gallon tank, I got him as a juvenile from petco when I was 16. Over the years I tried sand, reptcarpet and eventually I kept him on towel with tile over top. He was kept with a strip uvb and 90 watt basking bulb. He never had a water bowl. He got soaks semi regularly. He enjoyed basking on the window sill with the window open and would climb on the screen and bask in the summer months. His main staple was spring mix, I would regularly feed him dandelion greens, his favorite thing ever was dandelion flowers as well as the pink bearded dragon bites and of course a variety of live food, he also enjoyed canned crickets as well. After his last brumation he looked extremely dehydrated. He lost interest or had little interest in food. He actually passed away the day after I gave him his last soak. It was sad to see him pass, but I know I gave him good care throughout his life and we had a good long time together.
  • You saved my beardie with your video! We had bath time and he jumped out onto the floor and based on his behavior I knew immediately what had happened and was able to act quickly thanks to your video. He recovered beautifully and is back to his crazy self. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!

I am so grateful that you talked about drowning and how the dragon can choke on food or water. There's many of us that arent thinking of this though it should be common sense. Thanks again . God bless you.
  • My Lizy is 3 but I haven't had her that whole time I just got her from someone a few months ago, but I've always wanted one. Wanted to get a baby but she needed a new home and I can't say no to cute little animals in need of a home 🥰 I love your videos and they have helped me so much along the way, not to mention your hilarious so that's a bonus 😂 Keep the videos coming!
  • My girl Sammi is approx 5 or 6, and my boy Rambo Godzilla is 8 months old. My original male, Frodo, passed away. Sammi was super sad, not hearing the noise in the enclosure next to her. Once I adopted Rambo a couple months ago, she perked up. Both were super healthy and well cared for. I love my beardie babies. Sassy, sweet and man, they love their live crickets! Its adorable to watch them "hunt". They love hibiscus flowers, kale, mixed greens, parsley, cilantro, bell peppers, hammocks, hides, climbing, basking and spending time with the cats. Sammi loves loves loves snuggling with my siamese, or playing with my tortoise.
  • I will always remember the day when my parents brought home a beardie. We named him Ozzie (The lizard of Oz) the only reason my parents brought him home was because he lost one of his legs and I was convinced he was a reincarnation of hiccup because he lost the same leg in the same place as hiccup. He was so chill, and amazing- atm he is 1.5 years old and a very happy boi! we even have a girlfriend for him because I have a friend that has a female bearded dragon.

I have never had an issue with a possible drowning, but i have noticed a few of my beardies like to pretty much dunk their whole head into the water and drink that way. needless to say, i escort them to the shallower end of the tub and make sure they don't wander back to the deeper area. baths are also a good way to help with shedding! from my observation, it tends to loosen up the scales if they are at a certain point in the shedding process.

My boy DRAKO who I raised very recently passed at age 2.5. Yrs he was sick for 2 months and 5 trips to the exotic vet. Still never knew what was wrong. I held him while he passed. Now my old natural colored Deko is 8 yrs old healthy and jumping all over the place
  • I actually adopted mine from a animal shelter! Who ever had him before absolutely cared for him so much!! Unusual isn’t it?! I’m still unsure how old he is, he’s a yardstick in length, so sweet! My grandkids love him so much! One of my grandkids have one also, he’s the grandson, in our family!! We just love them so much! Ty for your share!

Our guy is 13 and still doing well. My best advice for feeding greens, which I know can be tricky...find a veggie they like (ours likes spaghetti squash) and get a food chopper. Then chop your greens fairly small and mix them in a separate bowl with the veggies. Make sure to have more of the veggies, then they just eat the greens along with it, not really noticing. We also mix in the vitamins, calcium powder. Very helpful video, thanks for sharing!

This is such a great video! Thanks for mentioning the breeding vs. rescuing issue. It's a very important conversation to have with your viewers.
  • My dragon Dagger is 14 years this year and I've had him since he was 5 when I got him as a rescue my freshman year of high school
  • @spookytaco666
I just received a rescue yesterday. I'm not sure of age but i'm determined to make sure that she has the best chance of a long life. Currently in brumation so I'm letting her be ❤

You're pretty amazing! I absolutely admire your knowledge. I am experienced & a very responsible owner but you just have it! 😊😊 I have said THE VERY SAME WORDS on breeding when there's too many out there now. .. & you have a beautiful way of rounding everything out to suit all possible scenarios in your teaching. Keep rockin' that sh*t, for all the deserving beardies out there & the ones to come!
