Sonic is so fast he's outrunning the graphics card.

After the Final Horizon and the other updates, Frontiers is one of my favorite Sonic games. We've come a long way since this reveal.

Remember when this trailer was first revealed? It was a warzone on Twitter lmao
  • This game looks like a test room. A big, empty, soulless island with a bunch of random assets scattered around so developers can test them and make sure they work properly.

Open world Sonic sounds fun, but this definitely looks like a demo made in Unreal Engine
  • @ouch5310
We have come a LONG way from this preview

It's actually insane how they made this game look so much worse than it actually is. I'm glad the newer footage actually makes the game look fun as hell.
  • @karanjoshi2662
This looks like an Indie project and a AAA game at the same time.
  • @HokeyBugle
Love the open world concept for a sonic game. Zooming around in free roam could be fun as hell. But this looks soulless and empty. Take your time, please don't rush this

The rare occasion when the game is better than the trailer
  • Finally big game developers are realising the potential of making their game in Dreams™
  • They really need to take their time with this, please don't let it be rushed!

Looking back at this compared to what we're seeing now makes me wonder what tf Sega was thinking when they showed this off
  • @friedwater5
Ah, the days where people were criticising Sonic Frontiers.
  • @thehomiespirit
Who would’ve thought Sonic would have the world’s 2nd “strand-type” game
  • @HellboyBr11
Honestly, Sonic's movement is pretty decent, the problem is that he still doesn't have enough momentum, it would be really cool to get faster the more you run and not depend on boost
  • Anyone out there in 2023??? Let's remember the moment that the agent saw this gameplay for the first time before its release.
  • @MrVectorMV
This feels even worse to watch nowadays knowing how fun the game actually is when you decide to play it like a Sonic game.
