For some reason it makes me incredibly happy that AI generated art is associated with scams now
  • @amyrose7727
imagine fucking up so bad you accidentally create a cultural icon that is what the unknown is
  • @noondaze
The actress of the Unknown is actually super talented. I'm both horrified and genuinely impressed by how quickly children started crying as soon as she emerged.
  • @raendelvt
the unknown being a 16 year old girl is almost poetic really
  • @MedioPlague
The dude who made the “Experience” Used AI to write the apology letter, it mentions things like “Holographic Paper”. this guy can’t even write an apology on his own
  • @michaelchoi4266
Little update, the girl who played the Unknown actually landed an acting role in the London Dungeon, a tourist attraction in London, thanks to this whole thing. So another silver lining I guess.
  • @UDOD0NE
Ironically, there were no cartchy tuns.
  • @dustyhugs_
Felicia (The Unknown) got a gig at The London Dungeon after the whole thing which is honestly the best thing to come out of this for me, good for her

The single jellybean ration takes me out like I cannot stop laughing

No joke, the fanart of The Unknown is legitimately awesome. They make the character look like something out of a Neil Gaiman story!
  • @StomeAura
This is literally that one part of Diary of a Wimpy Kid where Greg and Rowley planned and drew a huge haunted house and then procrastinated and just did everything in rowley’s basement with nothing but a kiddie pool
  • The meme of the oompa loompa's expression conveys so many emotions that can not be described in anything other than anguish
  • @sirshauniv511
Only by relying so heavily on generative AI could someone screw up so badly.

This event is a good demonstration of the mind of an AI techbro. They have such a fundamental misconception of what art is, they see it as a source of revenue and don't actually even seem aware of the fact that it takes effort and craftsmanship. So they try to create things like this and then go "oh shit this isn't as easy as typing words into chatgpt..."
  • @RaiRaiRaven
You know, its impressive how much this event looks like a backrooms experience
  • @julesrules7297
I feel so bad for the staff. I can't even imagine how stressful that was.
  • @aibhse460
I went to a comic con in Glasgow recently and like a third of the people there were cosplaying as the unknown
  • @50possumteeth86
I feel like the Unknown was the AI trying to write Slugworth. He’s also a mysterious, scary rival chocolatier that is trying to steal a recipe from Wonka, even if it is all a setup by Wonka.
  • the Unknown scaring children is one of the funniest things ever to me, Felisha seems so sweet in comparison!
