Your tree is beautifully decorated but we have ornaments that we have collected over the years from our travels, gifts and what our children have made. Hanging them on, warms our hearts .🎄

Looks lovely, it really does. But, I fell into a bit of a rut with the cohesive color pallate in my home. I decided to paint my main living spaces almost white over the summer. For the fall, I bought everything orange and redish-brown...pillow covers, pumpkins, blankets, garlands. It was beautiful to see traditional colors again. I started decorating for Christmas this weekend...so red flowers and blankets and green curtains and pillows and red ornaments. Such a breath of fresh air. Why have we become so afraid of color?

One thing Kristen has inspired me to do is go through my decorations and purge anything that is too childish or doesn't coordinate with my usual color palette and decor. No kids here, so I'd like a more subtle and grown-up aesthetic.
