'Remarkable consistency' in Newspoll 'reflects disengagement' from the political process

The Australian's Political Editor Simon Benson discusses the latest Newspoll preferred leader results which have remained consistent for the first half of the year.

"If I was a betting person, I'd be putting money on a hung parliament," Mr Benson told Sky News Australia.

"I think there has been a remarkable consistency in Newspoll over time … there is a stability in the polls which I think reflects the electoral mood at the moment, which is a complete disengagement from the political process."
