  • @etventures
Thank you for visiting the factory and supporting Aloha Tofu! I’m Paul’s niece and this was such a great video to watch😊

Thank you Amanda and Felix for highlighting this Honorable family.
  • What a great story teller/educator Paul Uyehara is; loved hearing his family and company history and also how his products are made. His showing and telling us about all what goes into making that innocent block of tofu and all the other tofu products was so interesting. Hope you are able to give us more of these types videos. Thank you.

You guys are way too young to remember this, but back in the 70s, there used to be a locally-made after-school children's TV show called Checkers & Pogo. Every once in a while, they'd have a segment called "On the Go" where they visit a local company and do a behind-the-scenes thing just like this. Some of the ones I remember were the Meadow Gold (or maybe Foremost) ice cream factory, Dole Cannery, and an infamous one at the Honolulu Zoo. It was hands down my favorite part of the show, and your Made in Hawaii series brings up all those nostalgic feels. It's SOOOO AWESOME! I don't think there are any other YT'ers doing this kind of thing in Hawaii.

I'm from wahiawa and I remember going to Honda Tofu on Mango Street. Sad to say they shut down I believe during or before the pandemic. Now I just buy my soft tofu at Tamuras. What Evers on sale💯🤙😎 I'll definitely stop by

  • @22jgirl
Keep these vlogs coming! I love the story behind Aloha Tofu Company; family history and the process of making different types of Tofu. I don't live in Hawaii but love this content ❤
  • @Darrel72
Thank you for this video. Brings back memories as my Dad's company was one of the sub-contractors that helped build the Aloha Tofu Factory back in the 1970's. I remember working on this job site in my youth. Mahalo Amanda and Felix!

Loving this new edu-tainment style content! It’s something different that no other food or travel vlog channels do. It makes me want to eat more locally produced foods because I can see exactly how fresh it is and I appreciate it the effort that goes into it. More of this food factory content please!
