This little useful tool saves me from calling the local plumber every three months. Easy to use and works like a charm!

Home maintenance is not something I say I really particularly enjoy. However, it is a required unless you want to hire a third party to take care of it. Honestly, I do take some pride in doing chores and home maintenance around the house.

It seems every three months, my bathtub drain gets clogged. Both myself and my girlfriend have lots of hair and this just seems to be the duration in getting a new clog.

I am not a fan of using drano or any other chemical de clogger as they are not good for the environment and usually do not work that well.

I purchased this $18 drum auger or snake as it is called, online at Amazon. It came with decent instructions and has really allowed my to prevent calling the local plumber and spending $100 plus to have them come out and clear a drain.

I highly recommend this cheap auger to clear drains to anyone that is a home owner and wants an effective and easy to use tool when required.

I want to thank you. Your video helped me out today in unclogging my bathtub. It’s people like you that take the time to share your knowledge that help frustrated people with no experience like me. So thank you the bottom of my heart.

I’m a recent widow (this is my husband’s account) and this video was so eloquently captured that unclogging my bathtub drain was a breeze. Thank you, you are truly a godsend

This video helped me unclog our shower tub that was clogged for two weeks! My husband gave up on the auger because it would barely go in. After I watched your video and followed your technique, I got almost the whole auger in and pulled out the biggest clog! Thank you for making me proud of myself!!

I want to thank you. I am a renter and this Old 70s bathtub has been a bane of my life due its age and to my long hair. I have constant slow drain since I moved in 9 years ago. Fed up of the slow response for maintenance I just bought a similar auger and was trying to figure how to use it and your video just showed me. No more dealing with strangers in my place leaving a mess.

Thank you for actually explaining how to use the snake to unclog the drain!!! This was the first video that didn’t just say “use the snake.” Really appreciate the directions! 🎉

That trick to take the center top piece off and go through the top was revolutionary. ❤️ Thank you so much.
  • Thank you, this saved me hundreds of dollars. I had a plumber come over and tell me I probably needed my pipes replaced, he tried to scare me into agreeing to a bunch of services without even looking at my tub. I was able to easily remove a hair clog accessing the overflow drain! Such a relief! And now I can help others, too! Thank you thank you!

Thank you so much! I've never been taught how to do this and this was my first time as a nearly 29 year old and it WORKED!!! I'm so proud of myself- thank you!
  • Omg! You saved me $ by doing it myself. Would have never thought og going thru the top. Thank you!!!

Great video! 👍🏽 Your video is much better than some of the other professional plumber videos I've seen.

If you rotate it clockwise on extraction instead of counter-clockwise, it won't splatter everywhere. You're loading up the coil at the end like a spring and it's snapping loose when it gets pulled past its point of resistance.
  • Thank you for helping me unclog my drain. I have Hair down to my waist and was showering in standing water for an embarrassingly long time. I didn’t want to throw any chemicals down the drain and I already had this auger in my garage forever. Thank you so much! All the single ladies oooh oh oh oh oh oh oh ohhhh oh oh oh!! Xoxo

Thanks for the video.... it was very HELPFUL!! 5:09 That's What She Said 6:59 That's What She Said Oh and get a drain STRAINER to cover up the opening in the tub to catch all the hair BEFORE it goes down the drain. Never had a clog in 44 years with me and wife with plenty of hair!

I'm grateful for your time spent doing this. Immediately subscribed when I saw the hair coming out. 👌🏻 Thank you for the perfect video!
  • Thanks for the help, I bought a similar one at Lowe's for $25 because my tub was filled halfway up with nasty sludge water. Tub is now clean, dry, and ready for use!
  • This was so helpful, I removed a massive clog from my tub today with your instructions. Super easy to follow along. Thank you!
  • Your video was the game changer. Your instructions where a lot different and effective than most ppl on here performing how to do it. I live in a house of only girls and this definitely helped me out a lot!
  • Apparently I never had an idea how to use a drum auger as the $12 one I bought from Canadian tire didn’t have a manual. This video was a saver else would have to call a plumber @$150.Real saver, thanks for the video.Well demonstrated.
