People who are commenting saying "You're slow" and stuff need to understand that its a TUTORIAL video. If this person did I quickly you would probably miss something. Its only done so you can understand it better and dont need to rewind or stop it. If you really have so much problem then fast forward it, if you know that's a thing on youtube. You're hear to learn something new (doesnt matter if its just a paper box. Its still a skill) and thanks to this video, now you have so pls be thankful.

Wonderful - I'm 5 years late finding this. I don't actually need a little paper box but this was a challenge where all other YouTube videos have failed to be possible to follow with demonstrators rotating the paper this way and that and flashing it around so much I got lost with all of them until I saw this supremely made video. Careful demonstrations of every fold all beautifully in view. I see it's had over 3 million views. Not surprised. Got to give this a like. Thank you for making it so skillfully.
  • I saw this come up and I thought 'Why would I ever need a strong box??'. Skip forward ten minutes, and now I am looking for pen holders to hold my school pens in over the holidays. I tried a tutorial for this EXACT box and it wasn't for me. It kept taking the origami out of the frame to do folds so you didn't see what happened. I saw this again and saw it was PERFECT!! Super easy and it doesn't go out of frame. So straight forward! I love it!!!!! Amazing for holding all of my pens, might even make one for my sister.
  • Thank you so much I tried to look at lots of videos to try make boxes or something but they were complicated but this one worked now I can put some candy in it for a part of a gift thank you so much

Friends if you feel any video is slow just increase speed as you need by selecting option from right top 3 dot menu.

This works on rectangular paper, too. On a standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper, you get a perfect cube. This is more stable and useful than a Masu box. Thanks!

Perfect. Great for starting seedlings in until they are big enough to go outside. Fill with soil and plant a seed. So easy. No, the paper isn't waterproof but you don't swamp seeds with an ocean of water. The paper will last long enough and if you use copy paper you can plant the whole thing. The roots will penetrate the paper especially if you poke a couple of holes with a pencil in the bottom.

I tried this and it worked perfectly. I've checked out many tutorials and they're all too fast, and I had to keep pausing. They're also very complicated. But yours was so simple! It moved at a slow but easy speed, and the steps were well explained even just with hand gestures. Thanks!
  • I love how you explain and do each of the steps carefully and slowly so we can see understand! I’m making it rn and so far it’s a success!

Simplest tutorial ever! It's not like other complicated origami vids, tysm!
  • Finally, a box I could make out of an 8.5x11 in paper without tearing it to make a square.

Thank you for the video. Depending on the proportions of your paper you can make a square or a rectangle box! this will be great to help me organize my drawers! I am using old calendars to make boxes. I added this to my keep videos!

Awesome! I clicked on a video that also showed how to make a red box, but I needed paper. And my sister clicked on this video. She told me but I didn’t believe her (We friend lie to each other) and she didn’t lie. But I’m not gonna lie, that was more helpful than the other one! Gracias mí amiga

I learned how to make this before the internet was a thing. Great to see a well made video about this, a nice reminder for when I forget the individual steps.
