I bought mine from a different supplier; the case and cylinder came assembled beforehand. Aided additionally by an IPL because all of my parts came in one bag, I'm finished in a day. I had two pieces with aluminum overcast that needed to be cleaned up, oh, and the coil and clutch hub are both missing! However, the seller already replied that the missing parts will be sent. Much thanks for the guiding light these videos provided. Stay safe.
  • Thanks for putting these videos together. They are very detailed and easy to follow. I'm looking forward to my build once I get it from hutzl.

Just finished my build by far the best videos on YouTube. Simple short and sweet no fluff. I had no labels so that was a bit different than yours and I also had fuel line pre installed in mine instead of that long piece you had. I also had a different air filter. All in all the build went great and fired right up. I used sthil rings, sthil wrist pins sthil cage bearings. Mine also came with an ngk spark plug. Thanks again.

I have reviewed a lot of these build videos and I think you are the only one who does the chain guard the way it probably should be done. Everyone else was complaining about how hard it was to get at the nut when they put it behind the back bucking spikes. Another guy was complaining about the bucking spike bolts interfering with the chain guide plastic pieces and was thinking he had to grind the bolt or the guide mount down to get a fit.

Thank you for making these videos. Without your help, I would not have known how to get my saw together. All my bags of parts came unlabeled so I had to pay close attention to all the MS660 assembly videos I could find to figure out what went where. My saw started on the 4th pull and runs great but now I want to adjust the carb to make sure it's not too lean. Which way on the carb screws is rich and which way is lean? Thanks again!
  • A lot of intricate work, Bullitt. Nicely done. Let us know your running results.

Excellent videos. Thanks. Just curious if they come with any assembly instructions?

3:32 when you put sleeve ring into intake boot, did you have hard time putting it in? I was trying to put mine in it didn't go all the way in. It was sitting on top of intake boot. I was using the sleeve that came with the kit. I also ordered additional sleeve to be sure. And they looked exactly the same. I dont know how you got that sleeve ring into the boot. Any advice would help thanks.
  • The line u used for gas line that goes in the oil tank and it acts as oil pump seal. I bet it leaked oil as soon as I filled it with oil.

Personally, I like the Bosch plug for my Stihl chainsaws. They seem to recover from being flooded a lot better than NGK plugs and we all know how easy it is to flood a Stihl saw.
  • the line your using for the fuel line is the oil pickup line. just to yet all the viewers know.
  • Thats not the correct fuel line. i believe thats a spare fuel line that goes into the tank and has the filter attached. My farmertec saw just uses the 90 out of the tank and a short piece of regular strait fuel line. You might find the part on Huztl.net Thats where the saws ive built come from and they are great to deal with.... I'm curious how much shipping did you pay threw your dealer? Huztl shipping is pretty high but the price of the saw is allot cheaper.

what would make it so hard to pull start? i followed the vid, put it together & you will pull your shoulder apart trying to pull start.

You can Buy Parts for this unit ??? what total cost of parts ?
  • Your fuel line is backwards, the part you have in the tank is the part that attaches to the carb. All the ribbed hose should be in the tank.
