Unreal defensive effort from the Boks. One of the best teams ever in my opinion, coming from a kiwi
  • John Smit, Steyn, Montgomery, Petersen, Matfield, Burger, Os du Randt, Habana, Du Prez, Fourie.... Great team

Frans Steyn played against Andy and Owen Farrell in two different finals(2007 & 2019), father and son 😱

I came back to watch this again in 2020, just to see us fluff England again with different personnel to 2019

Fourie du Preez is/was the most underrated player in the game. I think he should have won at least 1 IRB player of the year title.

My salute to Jason Robinson. Great player and wonderful person. True respect from a Bok fan. You are a great guy. Much respect. A lesser player would have seen England lose by much more. 🙏🏻
  • Lekker, lekker. Jason Robinson was pretty much on his own. Awesome player, imagine him in the same team as Habana and modern day Cheslin Kolbe.

RWC redux - Overconfident English fans with Swing Low from the begining of the game, Grumpy Bill Beaumont, in the stands, Francois Steyn, a Farrel doing kicking for England. Master class of decision making by a No 9. Superior tactical kicks and chase tackling, The loss of a key player for England. Why its 2019 all over again...

HOLY SHIT!! Fourie du Preez was on it like few other 9's have ever dictated. Keep forgetting how good he was in this tournament. Every time we got pushed around by so-called "lesser teams" like Fiji, Argentina and then a hugely underdog England in the final, HE was the one to calm things down and keep us on track for gold cup #2...

08:22 - When John Smit says "Cheers, enjoy @ the coin toss" LOL Bet England didn't see 36-0 coming

No points in 80 minutes from a defending champion is shocking.

I think the best SOUTH AFRICAN side ever. Great talent, even with subs. Fantastic performance. But true to the game, we can't forget The Lions tour in the 80's, the British played with HONOR, DIGNITY and PRIDE. But we cannot the SOUTH AFRICANS, who played their hearts out, to show a country that we will survive, even though everyone thought we would fail. CONGRATULATIONS to, Morne' Du Plessie, Divan Serfontain, Gysie Pienaar, Rob Lowe and the rest of the SOUTH AFRICAN squad.

Amazing how England turned it around and made the final. Really player led. This Springbok team were pretty special though. Would have loved to have seen the 2003 England team play this team.

I love how Frans Steyn has played father and son (Farrell) and beaten them both in a WC final.

The great Johnny Clegg at 51:50 3 duffed drop goals & the fumbled try in the first half ....imagine the score would have broken the English sides spirit for sure

Fantastic sportsmanship when Robinson pulled up, boks could have piled in but you can see them back off. Exactly what rugby should be about and a fully deserved victory.
