The Dark Energy Mystery [4K]

In 1998, two teams of scientists measured the universe's rate of expansion, expecting to find the gravity of the Cosmic Web bringing the universe into a collapse. But instead, they found that the universe's expansion appears to be accelerating- having expanded more in the latter half of its life.
Both teams agreed upon the existence of a new type of energy field, known as Dark Energy, to drive this acceleration, and in doing so, they revived one of Einstein's long-rebuked ideas- the Cosmological Constant.

  • Best and worst thing about these is the fact that they are super interesting and yet make me sleep so fast.
  • @gnomche
this dude legit makes best space documentaries on YT... period...
  • @spacewavecr
Watched the whole video. Well done mate, well done. I'm impressed to say the least. Great work and thanks for a solid well spent 41 minutes :)
  • The thing about SEA is that it makes a huge difference listening to someone who has a really deeper understanding of his subject to someone who does a quick research on a subject requested by a viewer. In that way SEA is the needle in the haystack of Pop science channels. As always great Video. Keep going! ♥️
  • @ETIRE.
That last section on the Big Rip gave me so many chills lol. Thank you SEA for this amazing documentary, keep up the amazing work. 🙏🙏🙏
  • @vCuda
How scary an ending would the big rip be? Watching galaxies become unbound, star systems torn apart, then stars and planets themselves. What an amazing island in time we find ourselves in
  • Your series on the cosmos is more exhilarating and engaging than 95% of everything on Netflix and Amazon combined. I'm a huge fan and I really loved the soundscapes on this one. Excellent visuals, great stuff. Thank you and please for our sake, keep it up. ✨
  • @Tevans8907
I believe I’ve heard before that you were interested in space and just started researching and creating these on your own, if so this is absolutely amazing. Absolute top quality documentaries. Never stop. Thank you for making this information so accessible!
  • @TheFreyJedi
I'm baffled by the fact that this man didn't reach 1M yet
  • These videos are getting better and better each time you post! Not just a piece of content, but a treasure Thank you for what you're doing to bring us these, absolutely worth the wait♥️♥️♥️
  • Thanks for all the great videos, and keeping them free for everyone. I am donating on behalf of those who benefit from these videos but might not be able to donate right now. No clickbait filler crap, no long intros, just pure informative videos. Keep it up.
  • After almost 15 years of watching videos on YouTube, of all kind, this is the 1st and only channel I've subscribed to. Premium content and narration.
  • @pokefan4737
Your videos are masterpieces, and as a person who has been a spectator of your work since your early geometry dash days, it's amazing to see what you have become. Never change Sea
  • Hey SEA! I happily subscribed to your highest Patreon tier, and I can't believe how few patreons you have. It's obviously not for lack of quality content. I get the sense that it's not your style, but I humbly want to recommend bringing attention to your Patreon at some point during your videos. Anyways, thank you for the truly wonderful documentaries.
  • @Storm_x
41 minute video heck yeah thanks for your effort
  • Do you study astronomy, or is it just a hobby of yours? Great video as always
  • Hello SEA As a physicist, it was my usual pleasure to review your latest production here. With very good factual content and lovely production values, I have no hesitation in recommending this video to my own students and to any curious layperson. It is definitely up there in technical quality with, say, Arvins Ashe's or the PBS SpaceTime series. The perfectionist troll in me will pick out the occasional technical mis-statement or misleading remark - very likely slipping in no doubt at scripting time - but taking away almost nothing from the value of the presentation. Please DO keep up the good work - I enjoy most seeing the other comments here of curious folks enjoying science more because these videos!! best regards D. Barillari
  • @zAcroniX
Hi sea! I've been following you for over 4 years now, and seeing you improve your content to such an extent makes me really glad I stayed for it! I myself am also quite passionate about astronomy and find all your documentaries to be very constructive and interesting to watch! I would love it if you kept it up! <3
  • Your content is always so fascinatingly presented and well made, I love it.
