  • It's the most Bethesda thing ever to release a patch that bricks a nine year old game right back to launch date level stability. Chef's kiss.
  • @Stormpriest
I'm using far too many mods that are no longer being updated to even think about "upgrading".
  • @PrimeStudios
I made the smart move and only play Fallout 4 VR...guaranteeing Bethesda will NEVER update it. Totally protected.
  • @toaolisi761
Seeing Cooper Howard billboards as you travel the Commonwealth is a great tie-in. A subtle, meaningful callback to the show.
  • @hhjk377
How is Bethesda the worst at using Bethesda-made software and systems? It’s honestly pretty impressive at this point.
  • Bethesda's incompetency truly knows no bounds. Absolutely hilarious -- but also just downright sad -- that they can release an update 9 years after release that is so broken they will need to update the update.
  • I’m just glad Sim Settlements 2 and America Rising 2 still work.
  • @stevel7798
Just so everyone is aware, The MTS-255 animation mod breaks Bullet Counted Reload.
  • @and...and..
The Attachment Pack is one of the best FO4 mods for 2024
  • @caiodiniz7371
"How should we capitalize on the new Fallout TV series? Oh, I know, how about we completaly break the most played Fallout game? I'm so smart." Howard, Todd. Probably.
  • @Pigness7
The ghoul's revolver isnt a MTs-255, its a unique break action design. We have a faithful one in NV.
  • @Phuzzi
Did the upgrade affect the in-game mods as well? So like Settlements 2 mods and such? (I'm new and only used some basic mods from the in game menu)

That You and What Army 2 mod and that karma mod should be (sort of) in Fallout 5. I want there to be settlements, but I want them to do things. Same with special NPCs you find. Basically I want faction affinity that is modified by missions you do for the faction, sometimes decreased for doing certain missions for other factions, and for assigning settlements to the faction. Think of say assigning a settlement to Brotherhood of Steel and now you get new items you can build in the build menu and some of the settlers will dress in Scribe outfits and such and talk about the faction. Settlements should be able to give you missions (mostly based on the location) that unlock other build item or resources and special NPCs will also do this and have a special building you need to make for them. I do not think there should be just the regular vender stations you can build and assign any settler to it. This would allow settlements to be different every playthrough based on location, faction, and NPCs assigned as well as mission for all three and maybe special items or technologies you unlock. Have these settlements give you faction affinity too and you will get some VERY unique playthroughs every time. I also want each settler to represent a family, not just a person, with children, babies, and elderly. Have them want individual homes for the best happiness as well as cooking, heating, electricity... Have the better their life is the happier they are and the more the faction likes it. This would unlock new missions and items for sale with the factions too. Everything will have a purpose now and you will not just step in and do a few missions and become the faction leader. I also want to see some locations like university, hospital, power plant, water treatment plant, factory... and be able to assign those to factions. The big problem was not that every faction had a massive flaw, but that no matter how influential you got in the factions you could not fix that flaw. Think the Railroad mindwiped the synths. That is almost as bad as dying. Who you are no longer exists. The Institute would not stop replacing people with synths and actually help the Commonwealth instead. They could have set up a hospital and school and worked to stabilize the area. The Brotherhood was too aggressive and instead of trying to work with the settlements and locals they just bullied them. They could have gained recruits and tons of people to their cause. The Minutemen is the only one you can fix as they had weak leadership. I do not see a point in that mod to add more Minutemen around the Commonwealth as they already do this as you build settlements do to artillery support and flares to summon help from the Minutemen and after you defeat the Institute with them. They will establish checkpoints all over the place. This is the best ending and it sounds like it is canonical now according to hints in the series. There is something about a Minutemen radio station being picked up and the Pridwin returning... It could not have been the Institute or the Railroad as they would require the destruction of the Pridwin. The Brotherhood likely would still be in the Commonwealth if they had destroyed the Institute and the Minutemen would be less of a deal. So Minutemen destroyed the Institute and kept the BOS and likely Railroad alive.

I love that someone already came out with a downgrader tool. Manually downloading the old repositories isn't super complex, but we can always trust in the modding community to make our lives easier XD
  • @bp42s56
hi, i’m the author of the karma mod, the icon and map teaser images are actually for a separate and WIP mod that adds reputation back into the game 🫡 i do have some other karma-based mods coming out though
  • @Thearchetype12
So glad I turn updates on launching game only and only launch through mod organizer so it never updated :)
