Wonderful video. I am an 84 year old retired teacher fighting cancer . I am also a wood worker. Watching these videos are helping me survive. Thank you.😷💞

They are a good team working hard together. I enjoy watching them and fascinated by what trees they saw.

When a person touches the wood he is working on shows his love for wood and what he is doing.

Either one of those first two slabs would make awesome tabletops. Good teamwork and very enjoyable video! :)

Wow that was a BIG log. Beautiful grain and it will make amazing furniture. Thank you for sharing this with us.
  • Regardless of where this mill is, i am surprised to see just two people operating it. The other thing that took me by surprise is the different woods they manage to get their hands on. I have a ready library of timeds and so far they have cut up four trees i have never seen or heard of, and they are not in the books. I have to admit that its one of those mills that i would love to visit for a day, they make the job look easy, when one only has to look at the slabs thet take off, they must be a good six to eight inches thick, and goodness knows what length, a good video, well worth watching.

Now that's a Mom and Pop sawmill - Impressive. Probably 75-100 year old equipment? and built to last. Hands on the wood, eye of a master how to make the best use of this wonderful piece.
  • @mamu1243
Thank you. You are so professional. I watched to the end. Enormous tree , fantastic size.

My Dear Late Dad and My 3 Brothers had a Sawmill when I was a Young Girl. When Dad had our House Built He would Especially Pick out the Beautiful Wood with the Awesome Grains in it. To Use for the Doors throughout Our House. The Grains in this Old Log remind Me of Days Long Gone. Just Super Stunning. xox

Thank you for sharing your video. It was interesting to see how much work goes into cutting the tree into beautiful, useful wood. You both work together very good. I loved the knots in the tree, so interesting. I would have liked to known the history of such an ancient tree and why it had to be cut down. Or maybe it fell down.
  • I hade the pleasure to work with a Japanese project manager I retired with 68 and and he now at 73 is still working on major projects Fantastic people 😮
