Some people don't get the magnitude of Zidane's performance vs Brazil. Zidane announced retirement after 2004 Euro Cup. For 2006 WC, France was having a hard time in qualifying for the tournament. At the request of coach, Zidane came out of retirement and almost singlehandedly took France to the finals of WC. Crazy how almost retired ZIdane bossed and dominated Ronaldinho and Kaka at their prime.

To this day I remember that 2006 WC Zidane performance against Brazil, he was simply the owner of the pitch on that match, he put G Silva, Kaka, Zé Roberto and J Pernambucano on his pocket, he could go out of that game straight to a wedding since he was playing with a suit and tie. I'm brazilian and I saw Zidane owning us at two WC, but he is my favorite player ever.
