I've always been impressed with how well those Komatsu's push. I ran one for awhile on an airport project and really enjoyed that machine.
  • I love watching these videos so that i can learn techniques but I don't think I have the balls to work my little 420c on a grade like that.Good video.

Very nice job ! Fine operating. I wish I had more hands, so I could give that operating 4 thumbs up !

nice work. good little machine also. When I am doing side hills, I know I am real close to a 2 to 1 slope because the back will slipp a bit. They stick well to it. A 2 to 1 is about 26.3 percent. It has the pucker factor elevated and yes it gets exciting when they slide down the hill doesn't it. But nice slopes.

We cut slopes alot at my job. I love doing them just not sliding around in the seat lol nice video

@sgtsahara that was a pretty steep slope, I'm not sure what degree they will flip at but I know this one will side sideways down the hill before it will flip. I've slid down a 50' hill sideways before, that was a ride!
  • Excellent vid and dozing Chris!! Great outside camera view for this vid. It didnt look like that steep of a grade until you got close on that first pass and then damn! That was steep! That Komatsu holds the ground very well. I tried to look up the spec for maximum sideways grade for this machine, but couldnt find it. Haha, ya know me. Again, great work!

when someone makes it look that easy you know he has skill.I took a three month course operating heavy equipment, for me the tracter and grader were tough as hell....I still passed though.

Good job keeping your dozer on and angle, keeps it from flipping much better

Yesterday was my first real day running the D8H at work, I was way up a hill in the quarry cutting a notch looking for rock. My boss told me that cat will cut a 2:1 just fine, but my pants were already brown from the little slope I had worked! Wouldn’t have scared me so much on the ground like this, but if I rolled it was a 500 foot tumble to the quarry floor.
