I couldn't afford the property taxes and upkeep on one of these places if they gave it to me.

The problem is that these homes are overpriced. The celebrities think that because it’s their home , it should go for an exorbitant price. How many people have the money to pay the taxes, the up keep and renovations. If you can afford it these houses then, you want to create your own masterpiece and not have to renovate someone else’s house.

People are leaving NY and California property taxes make them worthless
  • does a person really need a home with several bedrooms, several bathrooms ? only for showing off.
  • such places are remnants of a bygone era - nobodys interested in them anymore when the prospect of starting over on another planet seems more logical - thats the insanity of our species

I would rather have small cottages or cabins with some land in different places I love throughout the world than huge obsene mansions. One at the beach, one in the mountains near skiiing/ ice fishing/trout fishing/hunting and one near fresh water lakes & water falls with horses.

Didn't any of them take a lesson from San Simion, where the state had to take it over because no one could afford its upkeep. Goes to show you the waste of the rich. All this money could have gone to help others. How about if these wealthy democrats donate them to the states to make them into housing for immigrants and homeless.
