One of my favorites. The eye poke through the phone is hilarious.

"Where's the fire?" "Right here! She's already got me burnt up!"

"Look at all the little baby hoses! Quintuplets!"

"We'll even start a fire and have ya put it out!"

Captain: If this was the army, I''d have you shot at sunrise! Curly: But you couldn''t do that, Captain! We don''t get up that early.

The part where Larry tries and fails to slide down the pole (due to Moe grabbing him by the hair) is my favorite part of this episode.

“Why did you boys join the fire department?” “So we wouldn’t have to buy tickets for the fireman’s ball!” 😂

I grow on people! So do warts!

Thank you so much for putting this back up! My all time favorite Stooges episode! (Once again, some copyright Nazi had it taken down). June Gittelson (Minnie the heavy lady) absolutely owned this episode. It is not easy for anyone to match Curly in the hilarity department, but she certainly did here! (By the way, what great clarity in the picture!)

I love it when the Stooges declare something is “Haunted.”

Curly names the "baby hoses" after the Dionne quintuplets. The Captain's new car is a 1936 Ford 5-window Coupe. When the trio are out on the street in front of the firehouse, a policeman is standing in the background directing cars to continue without making a right turn into the scene being shot. There is also a Safeway grocery store on that background street, and later on a Max Factor Make-up Salon (opened in 1935) and Bekins Van Lines truck, the last two possibly product placements or merely coincidence. As the boys are gathering the pieces of fire hose from the street, Curly names the pieces that were cut on the tracks. The naming is a reference to the famous Dionne Quintuplets from Canada. He only gets to three names before Moe smacks him. He says, " Marie, Yvonne, Annette " ...missing Emile and Cecile. This would have been a very recognizable reference at that time. At about 14 minutes and 25 seconds, standing on the extreme right, wearing a striped suit and light-colored fedora, is Solomon Horwitz. He is the father of Moe, Curly, and Shemp. The firetruck is a 1921 Seagrave Combination Chemical and Hose Wagon. The classy roadster that pulls in front of the Captain's car (causing the wreck) is a 1929 Graham-Paige Model 621 Roadster. Remington Rand Inc. was another business. It was left out.

I like this intro song better than the 3 blind mice tune. But both warm my heart.
