Cantata 82 ‘Ich habe genug’ (1727) is one of Bach’s most moving and popular solo cantatas. With the cantata ‘Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen’ it belongs to the favourite repertoire of bass singers. The fivemovement cantata ‘Ich habe genug’, however, exists in three different versions including one for soprano and one for mezzo-soprano. The sober instrumentation, comprising solo voice, oboe, strings and basso continuo, was probably prompted by the fact that the work was written for the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 2 February.

    Wunderschöne und tiefempfundene Interpretation dieser einzigartigen doch perfekt komponierten Kirchenkantate mit tiefer doch herrlicher Stimme des genialen Solisten sowie gut vereingten und perfekt entsprecheden Tönen aller Originalinstrumente. Der intelligente und erfahrene Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Barockensemble im relativ langsamen Tempo und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Danke für die Sonntagsfreude wie immer!
