Developer here! Thank you so much for checking out the game! I'm honestly super surprised that people like it much as they do, considering the fact that I'm not even aiming to make the games anything grand or super original. I'm just doing it because it's fun, but also to get better experience on game development in general. Massive props to Wolfdog, who made all of the sound effects and the soundtrack to the game. They nailed each song first try and put a lot of work into the animatronic's movement sounds alongside many others. This game would not be the same without their work! I'm glad you really liked the sounds and music and no doubt Wolfdog will be happy to hear that as well! The development on Long Hours (the sequel) has been a challenge for me in so many aspects, and I'm really trying my best to ensure its gameplay is well balanced and enjoyable. It won't be perfect, but I'm very happy with how it's been turning out as of lately and I'm hoping people will enjoy it just as much or more than The Awakening. Great video, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!
  • I'm honestly surprised that the becoming an animatronic and fighting yourself in the last night idea/trope hasn't been used before, it's a nice and super interesting twist.
  • The animatronics stuffing you in a suit has always been the most crucial element of FNAF & has only ever been verbally incorporated in the lore, so to actually experience it after “finishing” your week is horrifically euphoric! & additionally, the manipulative handling of Blender - a software designed for 3D modelling instead of game building - adds some strenuous weight to the overall experience both atmospherically & aesthetically
  • I can't believe I'm not the only person who had a full on mental breakdown after seeing a bad 3D alien design in a kid's movie. Though for me it was the alien children at the beginning of Space Chimps. And instead of forcing my family to leave a theatre, it was at school and the result was me hiding in the bathroom for 30 minutes before heading back out to brave it, only to then hide under a desk until a teacher called my mom and took me home. Kind of nice that it's at least somewhat of a universal experience lmao

As an Australian who grew up in the early 2000s, it felt really weird when Uhyeah had to explain who The Wiggles were.

What alot of FNAF fangames don´t understand is that things with big sharp teeth and blood are not really all too scary. It´s the things that try and fail to look harmless that are the scariest.

9:15 I don't remember for certain but I'm pretty sure using the shocker just makes him go through his phases faster, so the consequence for using it too much is just having to check on him more often, in essence

"The music gets really intense at the end" My brain: big red car plays in a minor key

Some quick tips for players from what I've seen in the game. Jimmy doesn't jumpscare you with too many shocks, but I believe every shock actually makes him faster and more aggressive. Anthony is almost always faster than Greg. Anthony will always go through the middle and left vents. Greg will go through the right. If you keep one of the vents shut, you only have to check 2 vents instead of 3 which saves precious time. If Anthony is in one vent, you don't need to check the other. The Figure will always make a sound when entering the vents. It is usually quiet and drowned out by other noise, but you can hear it if you listen closely. The game gives you lots of leeway with the mask. Animatronics will only jumpscare you at the end of the sequence so you can afford to wait 1 second to seal a vent before throwing on the mask.
  • from what i know, the in-universe reason as to why you're not supposed to overuse the shock lever is because it essentially powers him, so jimmy just gets faster the more you use it.
  • @galaxa88
Abusing the shocker doesn’t increase the time it takes to recharge it, but it does make Jimmy more active as more “power” is added to his animatronic. I still find it hard to believe that some lines the animatronics say in-game are actually from the show. …That does make me wonder what episode Gregs ”our guests are on their way” line came from.
  • I love when games make the previous main character become the villain without their own choice it's a very interesting concept

I also find horror games that utilize childhood fears to be really cool
  • @headlites33
Childhood trauma, something that seems like a horror game itself. Looks really cool, great job!
  • as someone who had an awful phobia of similar looking dummies as a kid, seeing a horror game nudge near enough this exact fear is amazing. kinda funny i’ve heard people call it irrational though, it’s just the uncanny valley at the end of the day

When I was around 3-4 years old, my Father decided to dress up as Captain Feathersword for my birthday party. My parents have told me they've never seen a child more scared shitless than I was on that day. Thank you for digging up that memory.
  • @Camkitsune
The thing that traumatized me as a child was The Brave Little Toaster. No, not the nightmare clown sequence most people point to. It was specifically the Jack Nicholson Air Conditioner losing his shit and catching on fire.
  • @inkyjonin5341
I especially enjoy games that build off irrational childhood fears such as this. It might be very specific but the uga wuga sketch in the muppet show scared me every time because I thought the green dude was being killed by the purple dudes steam nose, and I think you could make a very interesting game out of that. Hell, I might try it myself if I learn unity or blender

“No- he disintegrated 🙁” I guess when thanos snapped his fingers, it really got rid of half of all life. Those puppets are alive confirmed.
