Not much to say about this one really other than I thought it would be quite interesting to show how the VFR carbs are balanced as well as give you some pointers on doing the job on any bike that runs carbs.
Enjoy.

Sometimes, learning the how-to is the best way to understand the why. Appreciate the time taken to illustrate and narrate the wizzardry behind carburetor adjustment! Thank you.
  • @NWA320DRVR
Always a treat to find new RRC content on YouTube.
  • @ianday38
I'm very impressed with your long reach anti-swearing tool!!
  • @NormanNodDunbar
Speaking (typing) as an ex Honda Motorcycle mechanic, I'm all in favour of these how to videos. More please! And the best thing about balancing carbs that wasn't mentioned, but applies to the inline four engines, that bloody awful grinding noise at idle vanishes to sewing machine smooth when the carbs are correctly balanced! Cheers, Norm.

This is one of my favorite little jobs to do. Very satisfying.
  • @IloveMK
You make it look so easy, I just love riding them, but now I am 70+ I just have to watch.
  • @MrPADDYOT
Seeing the little red notification bell for RRC when I opened Youtube has been the highlight of my week! I find that I've already learned a lot from the resto vids but instructional videos would be fantastic.
  • @sparkie920
Sometimes the instructional videos are just as good as the restorations ones. Always nice to gain more knowledge
  • @Hapsgevesen
Yes, please! More instructional videos. As I cant afford to have you restore my Hurricane, I need teaching! Its just inspiring to see your work. And btw, thanks for ditching the blue windscreen, and painting the Carbon mudguard white!!

Thanks. I had a VFR and at some point, there was a bad CLAC noise when I started it in the morning. The noise was only there once in the morning. Every morning. Luckily, I had a guy who was specialized on the VFR. The problem was the tank valve. It is supposed to be closed if there is no vacuum on the attached tube. In my case that valve malfunctioned, it was always open. The result of that is that (in my case at night) a little fuel was flowing into the carbs, and from there into the cylinders. And that resulted in that bad CLAC noise when I started it. I used to repair smaller bikes when I was young. I never would have guessed that that noise might be the result from that bad tank valve. I would never have found that problem myself. I hope this is helpful for someone else with the same problem.
