Interesting! Even with the 3GB model, I had no idea there was a 30 series card that doesn't require power connectors. Also, you had me at "office PC" 😄

finally a video of rtx 3050 6gb on office pc, I waited so long for this!

For that price, no external power, brand new card, it's not a terrible option. Still pretty hard to recommend though for most.

I find it a decent option if you want to buy an older Dell optiplex (with an i5-7400 or i7-6700/7700). You could probably end up with a very-low budget streaming pc, for let's say valorant, rocket league, minecraft or maybe cs2

I actually saw the nvidia hdr feature and want an nvidia shield that supports it

Wonder how much of an overkill this would be for a homelab system? I'm currently using a Quadro M2000 and maybe it's time to upgrade as AI chat takes time to generate (around 30-60 seconds per prompt)

Can you do a comparison with a gtx 1650 ddr6? I have one inside an old office pc, i need to buy another gpu for a similar pc and i was wondering if it would be best to buy the first one a 3050 and just put the 1650 on the second one.

So the only value it has is if you don't have PCIe power. 💀
