Just lost 3 very dear friends in a row ~ it's given a whole new meaning to this song for me. rather than an old flame or a love interest how I originally interpreted it, now it's kind of a desperate plea to my dear friends that are lost, and a reminder to treasure every moment with those you truly care about. to do whatever you can to leave them on a good note rather a bad one, since you never ever truly know when it will be the last mortal interaction you ever have with them: "no way it was our last night...... no way it was our last night...... He doesn’t even need studio sound. He sounds the same in this acoustic version. That’s how incredible he is. Edit: I more meant how good his voice sounds acoustically. I know it’s meant to sound like the original song.
