This model and paint schema reminds me a lot of 2 Marion draglines used in Wayne Township, Pennsylvania from at lease 1980-1990. The mining company was Carlson Mining.

The funniest 2400 story I ever heard was from a long time 2400 operator. The oiler got off to take a dump. He was getting on the machine and heard a odd sound and the machine shook. He gets on and walks up behind the operator to see what gives. About that time the hoist cable snaps. The operator, who has had this happen before, bails out of the seat when he sees the hoist cable drop down on the boom. He knows the cable is snapping back towards the cab and is getting the hell out of Dodge and dives towards the rear. He lands on the oiler and one has a broke arm and a broke n hand. The othe has a broken collarbone. The one on top has been knocked cold, the other hurts so bad he can’t move. Somewhere is the train wreck the drag is knocked in gear. The bucket hits the fair lead and snaps. The service man down the road noticed the engine sound of the dragline hasn’t changed in the last ten minutes. He goes to investigate. Finders the cab torn up from a broke hoist, the bucket all the way to the machine and the drag cable drum making a heck of a noise. Then he finds two injured men. Can you imagine calling the owner to explain that one?
