This bread has been part of every Kapampangan's childhood. Before fast food restaurants made an influx to the province, this would be the typical treat for kids. The smell of it along with roasted garlic peanuts and floral notes of fresh sampaguita from the Cathedral (and, occassionally, horses) are basically the smell of downtown San Fernando.
  • the joy on her face as she describes the humble beginnings of the brand says it all. i love this. thank you FEATR

I grew up in San Fernando. I remember going here with lola after church. We would then ride kalesa eating this cheesebread. Everytime i go home I'll make sure I'll stop by this bakeshop every bite reminds me of lola.

I tried LA Bakeshop cheese bread while I was returning from Clark to Manila. Although bit too sweet even for my sweet tooth, it was very tasty! One thing that I will miss from the Philippines.

I just bought 1 box of cheesebread ang 1 box of Spanish bread and this is the quality of bread that was nostalgic to me as Kid . They were freshly baked not too sweet and the bread was proof longer. This is beyond better than the famous LA bakeshop. I will comeback for sure

Iba talaga Quality ng mga ganitong channel pagdating sa pag feafeature ng mga food locals. The Videography is excellent. Kudos. Hindi katulad ng mga kunware food vlogger jan tapos puro pares naman feature 🤮

I remembered when they opened LA bakery in San Fernando in 1985 I was in my first year high school... Every time my Mom goes to palengke sa madaling araw she always brings cheese bread and they have other bread there that looks like pandesal but doesn't taste like one it's better.

Finally! someone featured it! The best cheesebread and spanish bread. My fave pasalubong!
  • I grew up in San Fernando and for a time I wondered bakit hindi na same ung lasa ng cheesebread ng LA branches dun sa LA sa palengke until I read that LBS has the original recipe. The taste is so nostalgic. I remember 20 years ago, my mom would take me to Apung Gare for the pancit guisado and then we would buy cheesebread at LA before going home.

That Cheese Bread would even go up another level when lightly shaken on top with granulated garlic powder served with filipino style spaghetti with hotdog or italian style spaghetti with a giant meatball. That's what I make here and serve 2 styles of spaghetti just to pleased everyone. Watching across the miles from Ontario, Canada.
