I was not going watch this it not my thing, but you know, I enjoyed watching it just to see how much goes in to the workings of this beautiful train

Over a period of years i was regularly invited to delve in the palitoy mainline scrap bin. Amazing how many good locos you could make by 'cross kit-ing' components from several locos to make some first rate engines, some usable locos, some spare parts and some genuine scrap.

Great job, got a few mainline models, they still look good

Looks smashing.

Hi Dan. I'm not a fan of the Royal Scots or Patriots, but I'm certainly a fan of your repair of a split chassis loco. Great to see another saved from the scapyard. Next up: the Big 100!

Beautiful weathering for a 40 year old model. Looks a treat.

Got my first Mainline locomotive back in 1980 rebuilt Patriot bought it with overtime money , still got a couple of locomotives but don't use them anymore .

Where was the worm wheel exactly Dan and what is a cog ? Having worked half my working life in gearing I'm offended ! 🙄🤣
