With the NFL draft underway, we felt it was important to share this episode. We filmed this with Plax as we were just getting started with The Pivot because we felt his story was symbolic of what it means to Pivot.

Plaxico was the 8th overall Pick in the 2000 NFL draft, was one of the top wide receivers in the league and is a super bowl champion. But one off the field slip up changed his career and the question always lingers “What If”…what if that never happened, what would the legacy be of Plaxico Burress.

In a candid conversation, Plax opens up to Ryan, Fred and Channing about his journey to the league and the infamous night that changed his life forever.

Special episodes of the Pivot Podcast release Friday afternoons at 3p eastern.

The way RC & Chan talk shit to each other & just laugh it off after is some real homie brother shit I love it!
  • @SuperfastDawg
Plax: “I’m human, man… I’m human.” The simplest and deepest thing anyone can say at once.
  • @TheLamont0914
The Media back then REALLY made Plex look like a really Bad Guy. This interview shines new light on Plexico. Shouts out Pivot🔥🔥👊🏿
  • @MsMusqi
"I am Human." People forget that about athletes. Loved Plaxico then and still love him now. The way ESPN told the story was very different. Glad he was able to tell his story. Channing is always on one.
  • The Pivot is doing a great thing getting these veterans out to talk about their current life. Its very therapeutic. I salute y’all💯
  • @TheSavoyTV
The way RC started this episode got me thinking…can we get an “Inside Pivot” where each of y’all individually sit as a guest for an episode while the other two lead the interview? Freaky Fred, then Channing, and finishing it with RC would be 🔥🔥🔥!!
  • THANK U I RELLY ENJOYED HEARING THIS BROTHER STRUGGLE IN BEING A MAN.
  • @BiltsOne
He said "What size you wear, 8?" Bruh, I died! 🤣🤣💀
  • @betabetapsi
"If I just stay true to form...who I am as a person...we're not even here having this conversation." -Plaxico Burress That's gone help somebody. Peace from Mississippi.
  • @kevinlee1833
Never actually heard the story of how everything went down.. only what ESPN and reporters at the time insinuated. Hearing the story, man that could have happened to anybody. Salute to Plaxico!
  • @mca217
This interview was the perfect way for Plax to show people who he is as a man of accountability. I commend his honestly and vulnerability. I hope millions of people see this side of him. Salute.

This was my dude! He was on his way to being one of the best WR. I’m a giants fan and him and Eli had that connection. Could not stop the fade or the back shoulder. Shit was perfection
  • This is the exact thing I missed with IAA - consistency - real conversations - no nascar & 20 different segments - Good interviews letting the guest speak The dynamic gets better by the week. So glad I have this platform to look forward to the next guest. Y'all don't disappoint. It's obvious to me at this point IAA is purely is the Brandon Marshall show.
  • This is pure therapy. Thank you guys for standing up and opening up. Motivation at its finest. Blessings
  • @2Ears1Mouth252
The moment he said " he dont usually go out on Fridays " I immediately said " you shouldn't have went against yaself" It always be those moments when you don't stay true to yourself that stuff go left..great episode
  • @wesphil8875
I’m so glad these boys broke off from Brandon Marshall. Their chemistry with RC is so much better and I love when Channing and RC go at it. 😂😂😂
  • @GeeLoLo8718
This made me so emotional because the punishment definitely didn’t fit the “crime” and that incident really changed the trajectory of his life. I could hear in his voice that he isn’t completely healed.
  • You guys always bring on great guests that have “PIVOT” moments in life. A person who I would love to see next, Ryan Shazier!
