I’m a psychologist and the phenomenon you describe with Cassie taunting Kim is called Identification with The Aggressor and is typical in abusive scenarios. BOTH women, Cassie and Kim, are worthy of our sympathy. I understand why Kim’s friend is bitter but just know that both were equally trapped in a self-destructive cycle. They both suffered mental health issues.
