You're going to need a heavy duty cart for all that stuff! I have to admit, you find some of the strangest looking pieces.😳

One of the comments had said it could not be a caltrop as Wisconsin had no involvement in the war, so I researched it out of curiosity and found this. What did Wisconsin do during the Civil War? With the outbreak of the American Civil War, the northwestern state of Wisconsin raised 91,379 soldiers for the Union Army, organized into 53 infantry regiments, 4 cavalry regiments, a company of Berdan's sharpshooters, 13 light artillery batteries and 1 unit of heavy artillery. So maybe this factory at one time made these for that reason

I love how excited you guys get whenever you fish up stuff. It's great. I wonder if you are sometimes worried of finding anything that might be irradiated, especially if its near old factories or where factories used to be? Perhaps is a good idea to have some sort of radiation meter with you. I mean, the likelyhood of something being dangerous is small, but its just a thought. There have been stories of people bringing in a piece of metal that "looked cool" only to end up being irradiated and making people sick.

I’m sure you know that 2nd hole on the beer can was not for “sharing” but for air. I lived in an era before the pop tops, in an area where beer was the cocktail of choice. Everyone had a can opener with them…lots of can opener key chains or hanging from the rear view mirror. I’m still laughing at the metal “cookie”! 😆 Thanks Tyler! ☝🏽
  • I'd love to see what this stuff looks like after they've been hosed off and cleaned.
  • the gear looking thing with rubber "teeth" is from a corn planter, it goes around and drops one kernel of corn at a time.
  • @G__Mason
Never seen someone so excited about a big ass washer or “ring” or whatever lol

Love to watch you and Alex magnet fish. You just never know what you will bring up. Kind of like opening gifts at Christmas.
  • hi, love your videos ,what your pulling out of water are remains of the paper manufacture machinery and some of the hand tools used to keep them running, the two short round pieces are journals with keyways machined in them, also bearing races and oil seals, you could probably find a thousand more files if you wanted to! makes me laugh, and glad i retired as a roll maker lol keep the videos coming dude!
  • I have really injoyed your video today as all ways keep on making them 👍. you are most interesting magnet fishing 🎣

The cut-outs grooves are dirt / grease channels to prevent the rotary shaft from locking up.
