Honda EU3200i Generator Testing and Review

Published 2022-11-20
Today I get the new Honda EU3200i generator and after unboxing it I talk about it's features and then put it to the test with my R-Pod camper. This generator even has Bluetooth to control it from your phone. Get your Honda EU3200i here: amzn.to/3On1i5R

Pretty cool thanks for taking me with you Honda's are very quiet and long-lasting I've been running them for a long time PS I like your camper too pretty cool

I bought an EU 2200i last year. I wish this unit was available at the time. The 2200 wasn't quite enough to meet my needs, and I will be selling it in favor of buying this one. I thought I would get a second 2200 watt generator but it makes more sense just to have the one. Thanks for the detailed review.

Bought one from Honda dealer in Ukraine for 3400$, hopefully it will last long during our blackouts. Thinking about to convert it to bigger fuel tank (like BERGs one).

Steve, have you considered a camo vinyl wrap for your camper? Would almost disappear in the woods.

I own the 2000 and always wanted just that much more power with a 3000, although very quiet in comparison, the size and weight was a deal breaker. This 3200 seems perfect!.

How many BTUs is your AC in your RV? We have a 14000 BTU portable AC in the house and wondering if this would work for that? Thank you

What year is the Sprite on the far right? I had a 1961, blue with white conv. top. Back to the gen, lol.. I wish they came with propane capability. Conversion kit would add another $300 to this.

Can you install the natural gas kit on the 3200 fuel injection ?
  • @JJfromIA
Do they have the same size fuel cap?

Nice tools. Just wish they hadn't gotten so expensive, tho those sure seem like lifetime purchases. Gotta love the new tech. Thanx !

I have had a Honda 2000 for many years. I use it around the property and keep it with a nice lil air compressor in the truck. It works fine and will run my AC and refrigerator and some random lights along with water pump in my Grand Design fifthwheel camper just fine. At night while sleeping it will purr all night on idle keeping the refrigerator and as many fans as we want humming along. In cold weather camping it will run the furnace or ceramic heaters or both all night. No need for AC all night. It is great to run power tools , charge dewalt batteries cell phone batteries run string trimmers charge car battery batteries a whole bunch of things and super light and handy. I will never switch from the 2000. As you demonstrated no one thing was over 2000 watts so I can deal just fine.

Thank you for the review, does the eu2200i companion cable work with the new eu3200i ?
  • @JJfromIA
Great review! The one thing I don't like is the price. You could get the two 2200i generators for less than the 3200i costs and hook them together. Less money and more power.
  • @bootmender
Would like you test the Eco flow duel fuel generator. I like the Choice to uses propane. (?)

I ordered one based on your great review. I am looking for a Honda cover for it. I wonder if the Honda 2000i cover will fit the 3200?
