100% agree with the hood struts. My daily driver is a 2010 sr5 4Runner and it came factory with hood struts! I done the Ford Racing springs on my 2019 PP1.
  • I own a 2019 Mustang GT Premium California special. I added the bullet metal drain plug. Keep the old plastic one just in case. Next thing I added is a JLT Catch can. Next item was the Redline hood struts. A must. Next BLR Jacking Rails to lift the whole car up on one side to take off you tired/rims for cleaning the rims and barrels. You don’t want to be jacking the car on the pinch weld and take the chance of ruining the pinch weld. Also this MOD, strengthen the body up and makes it Handle much better. The last item I installed is the LED Back up light blub . The stock one is to dim and the new one is so much brighter, and then you can see much better at night backing up though the Camera. My California special comes with a shock tower brace already. These are must haves to buy. IMO HAPPY DRIVING!

Great video Jake! I am late watching this one. I just turned 3,000 miles on mine and have done a few things but the catch can is a must. Thanks for that.

Just ordered my 2017 premium coyote v8 gt. it wasnt specific on exactly the tunes and mods the previous owner made, but I could spot a few just by the dealership pics! I am so happy you posted this, cuz i was planning to really customize my wife and our Mustang, and be able to bring to car shows. Love the video, and beautiful stang. and danggggggg his key chewed up has me dyingggggg, those can be so expensive sometimes!

Nice video man! I agree on most of those mods! My first few (cheap) mods were: tint all over, upgraded all my lights to LED’s, lowering springs, gloss black roof wrap, and GT350 track pack spoiler.

You should seriously consider changing your oil from 5w20 to 10w30. It will eliminate the need for a catch can as well as save your motor. 5W20 is used to meet Fuel EPA ratings. Euro spec Mustangs all use 5w30 and if you like a lot of us only drive in the summer use 10w30. Try it out and see how much oil collects in the catch can vs the 5w20. Good luck.

Damnnnn, I miss my 15 GT.... Went more for the bang for buck with that one. Grabbed a new 15 Base GT, Performance Package, 6 speed & Recarros. It was a great trackday and autocross toy. I kept it a few years and sold it for something else. Also did the JLT catch can, cat back with x pipe and reso delete. MSRP was 36k at the time and I did a little better on it. Ive been looking at another GT, but the prices are silly right now. Ill hold off till they get the block and trans issues figured out.

Thing with having car buddy’s is no matter how easy the job is like filling your tires up with air the answer is always “my buddy’s coming over so we can help him do…” 😂
