  • I remodeled an entire bathroom in my house just by watching YT videos. I already had an electrical background (although it was low voltage, EET major) but taught myself how to wire my entire bathroom; GCFI, potlights, vanity light, timer switch to a blower fan. Taught myself structural repair because I had rotted out floor joists. Taught myself plumbing; repositioned the shower, toilet and the sink. Taught myself how to mud drywall. Taught myself how to do tile. Taught myself how to do wainscotting. Yes I messed up A LOT, yes it took me 4 months for a 75 sq ft bathroom, but it still came out close to $15k cheaper than I was quoted (that was w/o them knowing about the structural damage.) aannnnddd i have the satisfaction of knowing I did it myself. I'm now watching garage building videos because that's my next project. We literally have the entirety of human knowledge at the tips of our fingers and carry it around in our pocket.
  • Ken makes construction look so easy; I enjoy watching a craftsman at work. Merry Christmas!
  • I am impressed with your skills and your helpers I enjoy your videos It makes me wanna get back into building again
  • Well done! And for those that didn’t see, PUT UP SHEATHING RIGHT AWAY!!!! 99.9% of framing disasters come from not getting sheathing up asap. Amazing how much strength a building gets from the plywood sheathing

As I was watching this. I had questions in my head. As soon as they popped into my head, they got answered. It was like you were reading my mind. 100% a fan now.
  • Great , job Ken! Thank you, for an educational experience! I learn so much, on each and every , one of your video, s. One thousand roofs, put up by yourself and your crews, in your life time!Quite an accomplishment. You have earned every penny of it.A pretty good system!🙂👌 Have a terrific 🎄 Christmas! Thank you, for your Grace, Lo

A straightforward and informative video. Appreciate the lack of crap music and good camera angles

Good video. I live in the Chicago area and I had a garage built in 1976 and it had a couple of features that I liked that I don’t see you incorporating in your garages. They are…..raising the concrete around the perimeter so when you park in the garage in the winter, the bottom plate doesn’t get wet, the other is using a 2x6 as a top plate for the rafters. This garage was built with 16” centers for walls and 24” centers for rafters 2x6 & 2x8 in corners, hip roof. The garage is 47 years old and in great condition. Thanks…Jim

Crawling up and down on those ladders and that roofing as “an old guy” is pretty amazing.
  • Good morning. Nice to see you are getting us some footage to watch while it is so cold and nasty outside. Christmas is so close. See ya soon on another build.
  • @johntsan742
That is beautiful workmanship, sir. Thank you for sharing.

Great work. Really enjoy these videos. Thanks from CT
  • That garage is seriously nice enough to live in! Wish a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and living room, I would be absolutely set.

  • @rdyardie
Merry Christmas Ken. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your time with family. 😊
  • @flowerpt
Very nice, Ken! I learned two framing tips that will come in handy 'on the farm' here. You've got some strong boys just tossing those CDX sheets up on the roof - wow! Coffee's on me next time you're in the West Leb area.
  • I am glad you have some fall footage to share it takes my mind off the flurries that are falling today and temperatures that are hovering below freezing 😂I am so glad I got yesterday’s slush of the driveway sidewalk and parking area .it was about 45 minutes of sneaky exercise 😂🎉
