An alternate mix of one of the greatest songs of all time. Still haunting and beautiful -- though the original is as perfect as a song can be.

This is transcendent. Brian Wilson's existential angst, fleshed out perfectly in vocal and instrumental form by himself and the others. A thousand thank yous to the BB archivists for getting this out so we all can marvel at its bittersweet grandeur.

I have a real appreciation for the original. People say it's depressing. I say that Brian Wilson was telling everyone that despite our ultimate fate, to be contemplative, to explore and accept themselves for themselves, which is a very positive message. I don't agree that it's solely about the weight of existence. Combined with this alternate lyric version, it's a story of questioning one' self to accepting one's self to ultimately succeeding at being....human.
