  • An alternate mix of one of the greatest songs of all time. Still haunting and beautiful -- though the original is as perfect as a song can be.
  • This is transcendent. Brian Wilson's existential angst, fleshed out perfectly in vocal and instrumental form by himself and the others. A thousand thank yous to the BB archivists for getting this out so we all can marvel at its bittersweet grandeur.
  • Love the ending when all members fade out except Brian's! Fucking beautiful!

I have a real appreciation for the original. People say it's depressing. I say that Brian Wilson was telling everyone that despite our ultimate fate, to be contemplative, to explore and accept themselves for themselves, which is a very positive message. I don't agree that it's solely about the weight of existence. Combined with this alternate lyric version, it's a story of questioning one' self to accepting one's self to ultimately succeeding at being....human.
  • OH yes........Perfection! Harmonies Heaven. Loved their music for nearly 60 years!

One of my absolute favorite Beach Boys songs for sure, except the official version was too short. I would have liked the official version to be this long. Can't get enough of that haunting beautiful melody.

I lost my way. Hey hey hey. How can someone so lost. Write such a genius Line. Such a clever song. He had to go through Depression to write his best stuff.

Listen to the music of a band called the High Llamas and you will hear music from a band who OBVIOUSLY worshipped this era of the Beach Boys' catalogue of incredible music.
