"I'm a Drake fan, I don't usually have to look this deep." Damn.
  • @tamoguni
I like how the “God, ah, my confession is yours, who am I if I don't go to war?” bar in 6:16 in LA is followed by “beat yo ass and hide the bible if God's watching” in Not Like Us.
  • The fact that the first verse of this song is written from Drakes perspective....🤯
  • @frosty1443
HE FINALLY DID IT. easily the best song from the beef
  • @antgal9467
To me, "6:16 in LA" is the explanation to why he was able to predict everything in Euphoria. Lol
  • Im soooo glad Aubrey did the whole freeeeee thing because it produced the A-minorrrrrr rebuttal. Lmao 🤣
  • @BestGuy2103
Just a reminder. The beat to this song is crazy bc the song that is sampled has Drake's uncle as the bassist lmao
  • @ZendayaG
"I live in the circadian rhythm of a shooting star” 💫

The very start Kendrick is actually singing as if he was Drake, so when he's saying about being in Ibiza, he's saying that's where Drake goes to do weird shit in Yachts
  • @IsaacClodfelter
When Kendrick talked about falling short I assure you it is not about his considering losing to Drake. It is him falling short of who he wants to be as a godly man but knowing he would be forgiven and learn from the experience.
  • @NiaNeuman
That's funny. That section with "God! My confession is yours!" really moved me. I'm a classically trained vocalist and I hear a lot of beauty there.
  • I think it's slept on because it's not on streaming platforms. It's my favorite song in this and I can play it over and over and over....perfect Sunday afternoon driving around song.
  • @Derapy
FYI I am well aware of the What’s The Dirt breakdown. I purposely chose not to watch it before I did my show because I didn’t want it to influence my raw feelings on the song. I’m not out here trying to do a YouTube video about what another YouTube video said about the song. I appreciate the comments though. They have a great channel over there if you want more in depth breakdowns and less ridiculousness 😂

This song is the peak of the artistry in all the songs from the beef.
  • The one track that was a clear warning to Drake was the most underrated one. Not to mention how ethereal the beat is
  • @vandana7436
People saying that 616 in LA has no replay value?! Thankfully I can't relate🤷🏽‍♀️ Ps- This is lowkey my fav track from the beef!

This song reminded me of the Bhavagad Gita where Arjuna is discussing with Krishna about how he doesn't want to go to war with his family, but Krishna insists it is necessary.
