VIP Convoy culture in India: Prime Minister arrives in massive BMW cavalcade with Z plus security

Prime Minister of India, Chiefs of Indian Armed Forces and other dignitaries who are at the helm of country's leadership responsible for managing geopolitics, standing up to human rights, responsible for looking after nuclear stations etc. A very potent targets for adversaries to subvert the state's and global order should not travel in a convoy rather should use on a 2 wheeler, without security, with helmet on will be enough for their security.

lol if Prime Minister would not come with this much security then who will? Compare it with other country's PM/President security. This description is ok but you need to understand PM/President deserves this much security. Don't know about other leaders like CM or Governors or IAS, i don't think they deserve this much security.

I don't mean to be hostile but you realise that the convoy make-up and size is decided by SPG, right? Someone (very)close to me worked there and was actually in charge of the MT(motor transport) department. Every vehicle there has a purpose from the electronic warfare vehicle(safari with antennas), command and control vehicles to ambulance, flanking bmws(carry security personnel and separate the PM's vehicle from foreign vehicles in case of a vehicle attack) and 2 identical protectee vehicles( 2 maybach s650s to confuse any attacker from knowing which exact car the pm is in).

There's nothing wrong with this. Security measures change time to time based on the threat assessment by the security experts. Given, India's posture in global affairs and the nature of its adversaries I can't blame this security. If this is wrong, then what about Air Force One and Marine One aircraft allocated to the US president and the multiple rings of secret service agents?

Indian PM needs these much security Specially Modi Ji.... There are many haters of him be it terrorists or internal haters I got worried why he walks openly in between public while rallies
