NOTE FROM TED: Please do not look to this talk for medical advice and consult a doctor before undertaking any form of hormone therapy. We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at a TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines. The speaker makes assertions about the health effects of bioidentical hormone therapy that have yet to be corroborated in this ongoing field of medical research. Women are known for going through "the change" -- Hot flashes, chills, mood problems.

Let's be honest, men and women suffer from hormone issues. With modern medicine, we are giving loads of medication to mitigate the situation. Dr. Jackson introduces an integrative health technique that is a game changer to men and women everywhere. Dr. Jackson specializes in bio-identical hormones balancing in the form of worry-free soft PELLETS. These small inserts are time released over a six month period with immediate symptom relief. They are placed painlessly underneath the skin and offer relief of the symptoms related to menopause...free of increased cancer risk.
Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women corrects imbalances in the body. This therapy is a natural relief from depression, anxiety, hot flashes and night sweats. A balanced woman also experiences weight loss and an increased desire for sex. The
hormones are derived from a natural plant source of yam and are formulated to be biologically identical to the human form of estradiol and testosterone.
Dr. Gail Jackson is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is on staff at the Cedars-Sinai medical center. She has done extensive research in the area of bio-identical hormone balancing and holistic medicine. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Every woman I know who uses bio identical hormones loves them. Says they are life changing.

I'm in the process of hopefully being a candidate to get on these hormones. I've been suffering for the past 4 years and enough is enough.

I found a company called BioTe than does these hormone pellets. You can find a provider in your area on their website. Or, if you can find a Dr that can read your hormone levels, from having blood work done, a pharmacy can compound the hormones and they come in a capsule. You can also get hormone creams.

I wish you would have covered topics like insurance coverage, cost if out of pocket, and how to find a local doctor that does this

The WHI study's results were misrepresented willfully by the journal that published the study. A problem one of the original WHI investigators explained in a International Menopause Society, posted today on YouTube. The journal has yet to acknowledge the complaint lodged by the study's scientists against them.

I really REALLY hope that those are not the people's real names. Who wants their personal situation discussed with THEIR NAMES mentioned on YouTube. Surely, she made up aliases?
