Damn, that's a super interesting idea! I wonder whether this same concept can be used to make a vertically stacked version. On the one hand this horizontal approach may make it easier to place blocks in a survival scenario, but on the other hand it also sticks out really far. But the idea of the number of supported slimeblocks being independent of the redstone is super cool.
