I reverse pranked the Chinese American prankster ‪@imvincentgao‬ who has millions of followers on TikTok and YouTube. He likes to go up to random non-Chinese people and speak to them in Chinese, with very awkward results. I found out about this guy because a few days ago, totally coincidentally, he tried to prank my brother at a park in New York, but was shocked when my brother actually replied in Chinese. I wanted to get revenge on Vincent so I decided to prank him by speaking Chinese myself. I knew that he hadn’t seen my videos and wouldn’t recognize me, because my brother mentioned something about me to him and he didn’t seem to know who I was. And the perfect opportunity came one day when I saw on his Instagram story that he was making videos in Washington Square Park which is not far from where I live. So I grabbed my camera and biked over there immediately and…sure enough, there he was! Time to get my revenge, on camera!

  • Make a prank video together. Ari speaks Chinese and translates back to Vincent in English in, say, a restaurant or store, pretending Vincent only speaks English.

These camera angles make the conversations look so funny 😂😂😂

I love that you admitted to it being staged. You really are a true human. That is why we love you man!
  • I love that you two made friends. He's like your reverse in terms of content. He surprises people with a language they don't understand. You suprise people by understanding their language. You two should absolutely collaborate.
  • @yaboymart3237
This is fascinating because you basically make the same content as him but in reverse. He talks to people expecting they wont speak his language, and you talk to people who assume you don't speak their language.

The fact that you are better at staging a video than 99% of the YouTubers who do it, and still said you staged it. That’s real
  • @MrJohnnyWheeler
I love the fact that you're open about what's genuinely organic, and what's scripted/edited. Transparency is extremely rare these days and I place a lot of value in it. Keep up the good work my brother. 👍

aw this actually turned out to be so wholesome i love it
  • @thatverseguy
This is one of the biggest uno reverse cards I've seen in a while. Wow. Now I need to finish learning Chinese too.
  • @TheFornesto
Something about Vincent wanting to sit down and talk more, and then asking to hangout is wholesome to me. We need more interactions like this!
  • @emmetee9675
Love when language connects people (prank or not). 😊 It would be neat to see the two of you collaborate.

My brother was a translator for the US Air Force. He could speak flawless Korean. He did not look Korean. In fact, he looked like a 6'2" Leave It To Beaver double. He tells the story of how he and a buddy were out walking around Seoul, and some native girls started talking abour their hair cuts. After they had completely talked their way into embarrassment my brother and his friend spoke up in perfect Korean to thank them for their kind words. He said they got red with embarrassment and just giggled.

The fact that you admit at the end of the video that it was staged shows you're a man of much integrity. As if you weren't awesome enough as it is!
  • @chunksthemonkey1
I literally hate staged content, but the fact that you were honest about it being staged changes that. Hats off brother
  • @killabeez321
I loved what he said about the reactions he gets in different parts of the country. I'm one of those helpful southern people. Much love guys.
  • @Lorangebeatrice
Two kind and funny YouTubers making a video together. Great content. Thanks!
  • @yellowood252
It felt staged, and he was honest about it being staged, but it's still cool that the guy ran into his brother. Entertaining and honest video
  • this video gives me a happy feeling knowing that we can make a difference and show the world we are filled with love not hate. GREAT JOB guys
