Looking for the perfect New Jersey day trip? Lambertville, NJ might be just the spot for you! This charming town is tucked along the Delaware River, just across the bridge from its sister town New Hope, PA (equally as charming).

Lambertville is regarded as NJ’s antique store capital. Its streets are lined with colonial style homes, local shops and eateries. Take a stroll across the bridge to New Hope, PA which has even more shopping and restaurants. We were lucky enough to visit during Lambertville’s Holiday Festival which had live music & local vendors.

🇺🇸 Don’t miss all the incredible history the area has to offer. We also visited Washington Crossing State Park, the site of George Washington’s famous Christmas night crossing of the Delaware River with his troops. A decision that would have a major impact on the result of Revolutionary War.

    Also try to visit during the summer months. My girl and I like to begin a summer day trip with a unique breakfast at one of the many cool breakfast or lunch cafe's. Then tube the Delaware and experience the River Dog hot dog stand that floats in the middle of the river serving you without you ever having to get out of you large comfortable rented tube. Finally, a quick shower, lunch at one of the riverside restaurants, then spend the remainder of the day shopping, antiquing, and snacking, or watching a Delaware River sunset.

    I'm really happy you were able to travel just a little further south to see where Washington made his famous crossing. Goat Hill Overlook (featured in the beginning of the video) was a lookout area and one of the many places his men staged themselves prior to their crossings. Next time, visit in the spring- both sides! Check out Bowman's Tower on the other side of the river.

    Thank for this great video ! Lambert are a french surname and very common name here in Quebec (Canada) and in France. The word ville means city in French.

    Its so interesting seeing my backyard from someone elses perspective.... There are thousands of sideview mirrors that have been claimed by that bridge.
