Reports of gruesome murder, IED recovery, have come to the fore recently from Manipur’s Imphal East district. Militancy and insurgency seem to be on a rise in capital’s neighbouring district of Imphal East. On July 21, an execution-style murder of a man, with hand blindfolds and hands tied behind, was reported. According to the reports, a banned outfit KCP (Progressive) took the responsibility of the murder. The outfit reportedly claimed that the victim was a former militant, who had now joined hands with security forces. Reports of this horrific murder has sent shockwaves across the Tekcham area, where the incident happened.
