🙌 Awesome video! I've seen you break down your preference for mud floating over foam board in the comments section before and hoped you drop some longer form content on the topic. Thanks!!

Thanks for this video. I am going back to floating after using membranes for the past 10 years. I used to do warranty work for a large tile company in sacramento. I have seen floated/hot mopped showers leak up high. Its why I went to membranes. But the over laps in membranes really make it tough to tile the bottom row and curb of a shower. Also, spending half a day making the backer board/sheet rock/etc plumb sucks. You can hang paper/lath and be floating in a hour. On your niche, do you slant your bottom framing in for drainage? What about the float? I assume the tile is sloped in. I think the hot mopper deals with the slop on the curb, and of course, deals with the slope on the pan.

Why did you change the name of your channel? As always; you are great and appreciate the tips and quality of your work!
  • Could you please post part 2?😅 How can I get the book for building codes for tile or what's the name of it? Thanks!

Are the staples in the aquabar a concern? I want to float showers in my local area, but it is not common practice.
