Fun detail: Cere didn't die in Cal's arms, he arrived a good bit later and the entire time we play as her is a force echo Cal is sensing after finding her body. You can tell from the flames vanishing instantly after Cere dies, as well as the distortion at the edges of the screen while Cal is holding her that goes away with the flames

The Cletus Kestis look is wild for all the dramatic scenes šŸ˜‚
  • I feel like the late reviews of games are better because by then all the hype has died down and you can look at the game more critically and not be influenced by the high youā€™re riding of a first time playthrough.

16:35 when Bode gives cal the advice to pursue merrin i actually didn't think there was anything weird about it because the game let's you know multiple times that Bode is a father, which one can only become through a romantic relationship (usually). So I figured he was just alluding to how his relationship led to his daughter whom he very obviously cares for so it was all worth it. Thus, he was paying it forward saying that those relationships are always worth it
  • the Coruscant is so stunning, a Cyberpunk open world game with that setting is the ultimate dream
  • I absolutely fell in love with Fallen Order when I first played it in 2019 because I was growing up at the time, I was a senior in high school and I was fighting some demons and was uncertain about my future. Cere's quote was my saving grace: "We will always struggle, but that is the test. It's the choice to keep fighting that makes us who we are.ā€ That game saved me. When Survivor came out last year the story didn't really resonate with me at the time. But just a few weeks ago I built my first gaming PC and replayed this game. Performance issues aside this game really resonated with me this time around. I literally sobbed at the end where Cal is reflecting over Cere's grave. It's been a hard year for me, trying my hardest to make it as an adult and feeling like I'm not good enough, fighting my own dark side and being on the verge of destruction, and just barely keeping it at bay. Some days its all I can do just to complete basic daily tasks. Cal's progression in this game simply paralleled my own in something so poetic and personal that it struck a deep chord with me. The Hero's Journey story is what Star Wars has always been about since 1977, it makes everything so relatable and reachable. I play these games because of the story. These games have changed my life. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Bode's betrayal truly shocked me. You could tell he never wanted to do it, but he had to, and his death was really sad for me and another character I really liked was Rayvis he was a honorable warrior and on grandmaster it took me like 10 tries to win him and Vader were easily the hardest story boss fights I liked Rayvis because the end of his story was good the best characters in the game are Rayvis Bode and well obviously Darth Vader himself

Jedi Survivor has become my favorite to enjoy Star Wars. Fantastic story, great combat, strong exploration, and to top it all off Panchos. All jokes aside the customizable aspects of the game ate up most of my play time.

I love games like this. ItĀ“s just a long eventful ride with good story, characters and gameplay with no bullshit. Also I love that this game SLAPS at some moments. When Cal and Merrin where jumping through portal around that drilling ports, I was just screaming in excitement.
  • I don't think it was contrived that the arrays allowed the mantis crew to make it to tanalor. They had to make the compass some how and also stated in game before the big twist that Dagan was the first to navigate the void so it's implied that the arrays allowed him to do such
  • 32:05 btw a cool detail is, you can crush the big robots when you push them to you, its such a nice way to put out his darkness.

Loved the video! Also how I stumbled across this video with no knowledge of your second channel, Ozzy, this was one hell of a great video! I replayed Jedi Survivor too and noticed so much regarding Bode, like you explained in the video, and it just makes it so much better. This might be one of the best games I've played!

The only thing I wish this game did differently was keep cal on the dark side. By the end of the game he goes through so much pain and suffering just to have him brought back from his hate by Merrin. They could have kept him going into a possible 3rd game with anger giving us even more gameplay options by having cal be able to use both sides of the force. The story could even be cals trust in the force as he struggles with his new emotion wanting him to explore both sides of the force while pushing away his friends and people who care about him. Could have even kept bode alive so he can be the main villain going into the next game or have him be a sorta prisoner who cal goes to for advice on the dark side and obviously setting up a redeem ark for bode
  • As much as the twist with Bode surprised me and caught me off guard, which I loved, I do slightly like the story of Fallen Order more than Survivor. It was just so standalone and original.
  • PS5 user here. Performance was never an issue for me. I love this game and loved it since day 1. Modern gaming hates the PC, talking about AAA games here, like Elden Ring and ReRemake 4 having issues that PS5 didnā€™t have half as much. Jedi Survivor improved the open world exploration and the LIGHTSABER MOVESETS ARE THE BEST IN THIS GAME!

Insane to think itā€™s been a year since this dropped

29:12 (Edit) Dank ferrik. Jacobcenter beat me to it. I believe she doesn't die in Cal's arms. I think that Cal finally woke up, returned to the Archives and found Cere's body. As he touches her, his Psychometry activates and he sees all of the Cere playable parts and then her death at Vader's hands. Sure she looks right at Cal but that could be because of precognition as she's joining the Force and sees Cal holding her corpse. Now for why I think this? As she "falls" into Cal's arms, the borders of the screen turn blurry like a vision. That and the fact as Cal finally cries, everything "turns" dark around him. We're returning to his present and nothing's left except for a little light and falling ash from Cere's fight.
